A neighbourhood built to last
The neighbourhood’s own history says it was subdivided in 1889, tied originally to the short-lived Belt Line Railway; development stalled after an 1890s downturn and picked back up in the early 1900s, largely complete by the 1930s. The homes from that stretch, English Cottage, Georgian, Tudor styles among them, are old enough that matching their brick and stone properly still matters, heritage district or not.
